Montclair Drug Arrest: 34-Year-Old Nigerian National Faces Durban Court Over Cocaine Possession

KWAZULU-NATAL — A recent Montclair drug arrest has resulted in a 34-year-old Nigerian national appearing before the Durban Magistrate’s Court today to face formal charges of dealing in narcotics.

The operation was conducted by members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit, who took the individual into custody in the Montclair area. During the apprehension, law enforcement officers discovered the suspect in possession of cocaine powder.

Officials have estimated the street value of the seized cocaine at R30,000.00. In addition to the illicit substances, authorities found the individual carrying R5,000.00 in cash. When questioned, the suspect was unable to provide a legitimate explanation or properly account for the origin of the money.

The accused is scheduled to stand before the Durban Magistrate’s Court on 31 August 2026 to answer to the drug dealing charges stemming from the Montclair operation.
