In a targeted operation to quell ongoing gang violence, members of the South African Police Service’s Anti-Gang Unit were deployed to the Hill View area in the Muizenberg precinct on Saturday, 15 November 2025.
The operation led to the arrest of four suspects in isolated incidents across the area. All four individuals were taken into custody for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
Police confirmed that the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances on Monday, 17 November 2025. They will face charges related to the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition at the Wynberg and Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Courts.
The deployment and subsequent arrests are part of continued efforts by law enforcement to address and dismantle gang-related activities in the region.
