Girl, 7, Raped in Limpopo Village, Police Launch Investigation

Police in Limpopo are investigating the rape of a seven-year-old girl that allegedly took place at Ga-Piet Village under the Phaudi policing area on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred at approximately 17:00 while the victim was at home. The child suddenly emerged from the bedroom in a distressed and terrified state, complaining of a headache.

On 7 May 2026, the victim was taken to a local hospital, where a medical examination confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.

A case of rape was subsequently opened at Phaudi Police Station and transferred to the Seshego Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit for specialist investigation.

The suspect remains unknown at this stage, and the investigation is ongoing.
