The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Tactical Unit, together with a tracking company, successfully recovered a white Toyota Hilux that had been hijacked in Nellmapius on Wednesday, 24 September 2025.
The vehicle was reported hijacked in Mamelodi East, with information by the tracker company indicating that three (3) heavily armed African males were involved in the crime.
The TMPD Tactical Unit members were activated and swiftly responded to locate the vehicle. The suspects, upon realizing that our Tactical Unit members were closing in on them, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
