The victim was targeted while commuting to her job in the Temong area along Mapungubwe Street, marking a tragic act of violent crime in the region.
According to a spokesperson for the Gauteng police, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 05:45 on September 28, 2026. The spokesperson detailed that the victim was on her way to work when she was ambushed by assailants. Her personal belongings were stolen during the attack, and she tragically succumbed to her gunshot wounds at the scene.
While the identity of the deceased has been established by authorities, her next of kin are still awaiting formal notification.
