 A multidisciplinary team from the South African Police Service (SAPS) executed a J50 warrant of arrest this evening, taking a suspect into custody on charges of defeating the ends of justice.
The case stems from an alleged incident in Vosloorus, where the suspect is accused of staging an attempted assassination on their own life.
According to preliminary investigations, the firearm used in the commission of the crime has been linked to other serious and violent offenses, including murder and attempted murder.
The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 May 2026.
