Police in Saselamani, under the Vhembe District, have opened a case of malicious damage to property after an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was bombed in the early hours of Friday morning at a local supermarket in Mhinga village.
According to preliminary investigations, seven unknown male suspects entered the supermarket premises and targeted the unguarded ATM. The suspects used explosives to blast the machine open.
The suspects fled the scene empty-handed, as the ATM contained no cash at the time of the incident.
