A 40-year-old foreign national is scheduled to appear before the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 01 December 2025, on charges of dealing in drugs following an intelligence-driven operation.
The arrest was executed by members of the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation and Narcotics Unit. According to police reports, the operation commenced on Friday, 28 November 2025, after investigators received credible intelligence at approximately 07:30 about a male suspect actively dealing drugs within the Lephalale policing area.
Acting on the information, officers conducted surveillance and identified a vehicle matching the provided description travelling along a Lephalale road towards town. The car, occupied by a single individual, reportedly sped away upon noticing the police presence. A pursuit ensued, ending when the vehicle came to a stop.


Upon searching the suspect and his car, police discovered a plastic bag containing substances suspected to be illicit drugs. The confiscated narcotics, identified as heroin and crystal methamphetamine, have an estimated street value exceeding R15,000.
The suspect was immediately placed under arrest. Police confirm that he remains in custody pending his court appearance. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
