A month-long intensive investigation by KwaDukuza police detectives, in collaboration with private security, has led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old woman whose body was discovered in a vehicle last month.
The victim, identified as Nokulunga Happiness Mashabane, an employee of the KwaDukuza Municipality, was found with gunshot wounds to the head in the early hours of 27 June 2025 along Zinkwazi Link Road. She was declared dead at the scene.
After a rigorous investigation, police arrested Mashabane’s husband, along with a second suspect, on Wednesday, 30 July 2025. The two men, aged 32 and 26, are expected to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 1 August 2025, to face murder charges.
