LIVE UPDATE
- Monday, March 20, 2023 is the day the EFF political party has chosen for its so-called “national shutdown”.
- Prior to the day, the party has approached various establishments to encourage them not to do business on the day due to the protest.
- Last week, EFF leader Julius Malema told the media at a press conference that the shutdown would go ahead as planned on Monday.
