A farm attack took place on 12 January 2023, at 03:00 on a farm in the Bishopstowe area in Pietermaritzburg in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.
Sensors picked up intruders on the farm and the farmer, Tom Walker, went out to investigate.
After he got close to where the fence had been cut by the attackers he was shot at multiple times.
He received a gunshot wound to the upper thigh. The attackers then fled.
Assistance was called for by neighbours and CWP security responded.
The farmer is stable and awaiting further medical treatment at hospital.
All role players responded but there were no arrests.
