Public Order Policing Arrests 19-Year-Old Suspect in Manenberg Drug Bust

WESTERN CAPE – Public Order Policing arrested a 19-year-old suspect for drug possession following an intelligence-led raid in Manenberg, recovering a substantial cache of illegal narcotics.

The operation was executed on Monday, 07 September 2026, after authorities received credible intelligence regarding suspected drug dealing at a specific property in the Storms River Walk area. Officers arrived at the address at approximately 12:50 and encountered a 19-year-old male on the premises.

During a subsequent search of the property, law enforcement officials confiscated a large assortment of illicit substances. The recovered items included 309 sachets of crystal meth, 154 packets of cocaine, ten heroin straws, and four mandrax tablets.

Public Order Policing confirmed that the suspect was formally arrested on charges of possession of drugs. He is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Athlone Magistrate’s Court to face the charges.

The successful seizure highlights ongoing targeted efforts by Public Order Policing to dismantle local drug distribution networks and remove harmful substances from communities.
