South African Police Service crime-combatting operations in Western Cape hotspot areas remain visible.
On Tuesday, 21 April 2026 at approximately 05:00, the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team, in collaboration with the Counterfeit and Illicit Goods Policing Team, responded to intelligence regarding suspected drug activity at a residence in Milnerton.
Upon arrival at the specified address, members conducted a search of the premises and discovered a packet containing 1,000 mandrax tablets.
A 51-year-old male suspect was arrested on charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
The suspect was detained at Milnerton SAPS. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court once formally charged.
