Members of Operation Prosper were conducting crime prevention operations in the Clarke Estate area on the evening of Thursday, 2 April 2026, when they heard gunshots in the nearby vicinity.
The officers drove toward the source of the sound and observed two males running, one of whom was holding a firearm. A chase ensued, and both suspects were apprehended.
A 9mm pistol without a serial number and 15 rounds of ammunition were recovered at the scene.
Both adult male suspects were arrested for possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition. They are scheduled to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court once formally charged.
