Man Appears in Court for Alleged Murder Following Love Triangle Dispute

A 37-year-old man appeared before the Komani Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape on March 31, 2026, on a murder charge.

The accused is alleged to have stabbed a 31-year-old man on March 30, 2026, at Weldon Farm Estate. According to police reports, the stabbing followed accusations that the victim was having an affair with the suspect’s wife.

The altercation reportedly began on Sunday, March 29, and escalated the next morning when the suspect allegedly attacked the victim while the victim was on his way to fetch cattle from the veld for milking. The victim died at the scene.

The suspect was arrested and subsequently appeared in court. The case was remanded to April 7, 2026, for a formal bail application.
