A 24-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Gilbert Kula, also 24, in the Hertzogville policing precinct.
According to police reports, authorities received a complaint of murder at a local clinic in Christiana on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 11:40. The alleged murder took place on a farm within the Hertzogville area.
Upon arriving at the clinic, police were directed to the lifeless body of the victim, who was found seated inside a Volkswagen Golf with a stab wound to the chest.
Preliminary investigations indicate that on the same date, the victim allegedly assaulted a female at a farm dwelling. In response, the suspect—said to be the woman’s brother—allegedly intervened and stabbed the victim with a knife, inflicting a fatal wound. The victim was transported to the clinic in a private vehicle and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police confiscated the knife believed to have been used in the incident, which will be submitted as evidence during the investigation.
The suspect was arrested on a charge of murder and is scheduled to appear before the Hertzogville Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
