Drug Bust Nets Three Suspects, Large Cache of Narcotics

An intelligence-led patrol by Team DCS on Monday resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of multiple narcotics following a chain of searches that began with a suspicious individual in Edenpark.

According to reports, on Monday 9 February 2026, Team DCS was conducting patrols aimed at gathering intelligence regarding the vandalism of mini substations in the area. During the operation, officers initiated a random visit to a well-known residence.

While conducting a search outside the property, authorities identified one individual displaying notably nervous behavior. A search of the suspect yielded four bags containing crystal meth and five Mandrax tablets.

The suspect was reportedly eager to cooperate and provided information identifying his supplier. Acting on this intelligence, Edenpark SAPS facilitated a visit to the residence of the supplier’s girlfriend.

Upon arrival, the girlfriend attempted to prevent police from searching her room, stating that her parents were sleeping. Officers insisted on proceeding with the search, which resulted in the discovery of various drugs, including crystal meth, Mandrax tablets, and dagga.

Police subsequently proceeded to the boyfriend’s residence; however, he had already fled the scene. He later voluntarily presented himself at the police station, claiming ownership of the drugs found at his girlfriend’s residence and demanding her release. She was nonetheless charged.

The following items were seized during the operation:

  • 21 small bags of crystal meth

  • 3 large bags of crystal meth

  • 21 small bags of dagga

  • 1 large bag of dagga

  • 5 cellphones

  • 1 scale

  • A small amount of cash, believed to be proceeds from drug dealing

All three suspects were detained and have been charged
