22-Year-Old Loxton Man Arrested After Stabbing, Found with Suspected Stolen Meat

Police arrested a 22-year-old man on Wednesday, 04 February 2026, for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of suspected stolen stock produce.

The incident began when a community member approached the suspect’s shanty after smelling fresh meat. During the encounter, the suspect stabbed the complainant with a sharp object.

Later, police on patrol were stopped by the injured victim. Officers responded, went to the shanty, and found the suspect in possession of meat. He could not satisfactorily explain its origin.

The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in court soon.
