A 16-year-old male suspect has been arrested for the alleged rape of a minor boy in the Vhembe District.
The incident occurred on 22 January 2026 in an Extension area of Musina. According to police, the victim’s grandmother reported that the boy was lured by another minor while on an errand to a local Spaza shop.
The victim later escaped and identified the 16-year-old suspect, who is known to him. As the suspect is a minor, he was arrested and is being processed in accordance with the Child Justice Act under the supervision of a probation officer.
