A swift investigative response by the Kimberley SAPS Task Team led to the arrest of two male suspects mere hours after a business robbery was reported in the De Beers area of Kimberley.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Monday morning, 19 January 2026, at a business establishment in De Beers. Following the report, members of the specialised task team operationalised received information and initiated a follow-up investigation.
Their efforts resulted in the apprehension of two suspects, aged 36 and 38. The men were found in possession of items matching the description of those stolen, including a blue compressor, two heavy-duty generators, two lever tools, one drill machine, one wheel spanner, and one tyre.

Both suspects were arrested on charges of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property. The police also confiscated the vehicle allegedly used in the commission of the crime.
The two arrested individuals are expected to make their initial appearance before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.
