A 20-year-old male suspect was arrested on Saturday, 17 January 2026, in the Moletlane policing area for two fraud cases.
The suspect allegedly defrauded two pensioners of their pension money at a retail outlet in Moletlane Plaza earlier this month.
Following the report, Lebowakgomo police and Moletlane Detectives conducted an intelligence-driven operation. The suspect was traced to Gedroogte village.
Police found and arrested the suspect at a local liquor outlet, where he was consuming alcohol.
He is expected to appear before the Thabamoopo Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 19 January 2026, on two charges of fraud.
Police investigations are continuing.
