Police have arrested three men, aged 33 to 41, for armed robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The arrests followed an intelligence-driven operation on Sunday, 11 January 2026, by SAPS Namakgale and Lulekani Detectives. Acting on information about wanted armed robbery suspects, the team located and apprehended the men. A suspected stolen cell phone was recovered.
Investigations led police to Majenje village, where an unlicensed firearm was found. Another suspect was arrested separately in connection with the firearm.
The three suspects will appear in the Namakgale Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, on charges of armed robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
