On Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at approximately 07:45, members of #OperationShanela2 arrested three suspects, aged between 30 and 35, in Beulah Court, Ravensmead.
The arrests followed information about drug sales at the location. A police search of the premises recovered a consignment of drugs—including tik, mandrax tablets, and cocaine—along with various liquor and beer, and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
While being taken to police vehicles, the suspects incited people in the courtyard to throw stones at the officers. No police vehicles were damaged and no officers were injured.
The suspects face charges of dealing in drugs, possession of drugs, attacking police, and dealing in liquor without a licence. They are due to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court.
