A 45-year-old man is in custody following a domestic violence incident that resulted in the death of a 37-year-old woman at Mashonamini Trust on Thursday, 08 January 2026.
According to official reports, the victim was allegedly assaulted by her husband with a wooden stick. Emergency Medical Services personnel were called to the scene, where the woman was pronounced dead.
The suspect has been arrested on a murder charge. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance before the Mkhuhlu Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 09 January 2026.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
