Three men, aged 29, 30, and 34, were arrested for the murder of a 34-year-old man in Phomolong, Hennenman.
Police responded to a murder scene in the Selahluwe section on Saturday, 3 January 2026, at approximately 22:30. Upon arrival, they found an African male with multiple stab wounds lying in a pool of blood. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Initial information indicates the incident began when one suspect accused the victim of stealing his wallet. A fight broke out, which the victim reportedly won. The suspect then retrieved two other men. The trio allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing.
The suspects were traced and arrested. They are scheduled to appear in the Hennenman Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 5 January 2026.
