Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for the murder of his 35-year-old brother in Shigamani Village.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, at approximately 23:30. The deceased had just returned home from Gauteng Province when an argument began between the brothers. Two sisters attempted to intervene.
During the argument, the suspect allegedly used an object to stab the victim in the upper body. The victim collapsed. A neighbour transported him to a local healthcare centre, where he was later declared dead.
Police, aided by community information, located and arrested the suspect in Mphambo Village on Thursday, 25 December 2025, at about 07:00.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 December 2025, on a murder charge. Investigations continue.
