Police have opened a murder case following the discovery of a 15-year-old girl’s body in Rotterdam Village. The deceased, Xilaveko Suke, was reported missing on Monday, 22 December 2025, with her father, Peter Themba Baloyi.
On Thursday, 25 December 2025, at approximately 08:50, police were called to the father’s residence after a body was reported. The deceased’s paternal grandmother pointed out the girl’s body inside a one-room house. Police noted the body was partially decomposed and had a visible stab wound.
The father, reported missing with the teen, remains unlocated. Police are intensively searching for him.
Later on the same day, around 18:00, police were alerted that the father’s house had been burned. Police attended the scene.
Police investigations are ongoing.
