On Monday, 22 December 2025, SAPS in Mpumalanga arrested eight suspects in Vosman, near Witbank.
The operation was based on intelligence received on Friday, 19 December 2025, indicating a planned robbery by heavily armed individuals at a plot in the area.
Upon approaching the location, suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended. The suspects, aged 29 to 51, face charges including illegal possession of explosives, firearms, ammunition, and stolen vehicles. More charges may follow.
Police seized five AK-47 rifles, explosives, and three stolen vehicles:
