A manhunt is underway for three male suspects following the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man at a tavern in Bloodriver in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to Limpopo police, the incident came to light after officers were summoned to Seshego Hospital following a complaint of murder. Upon their arrival, medical personnel on duty pointed out the deceased, who had by then been identified.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was brought to the hospital by his relatives at approximately 04:00. The relatives informed authorities that the man had been stabbed with a sharp object at a tavern located in Bloodriver. Despite their efforts, he was declared dead on arrival.
Preliminary police investigations have since revealed that the deceased sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body and back. The motive for the brutal attack is currently unknown and remains a key line of inquiry for the investigating team.
The police have launched a public appeal for assistance. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Thabo Mabotja, on 061 454 0912.
