The Democratic Alliance (DA) has escalated its ethics complaint against Higher Education Minister Nkabane Nobuhle, accusing her of gross misconduct and misleading Parliament regarding the appointment of board chairpersons for Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).

Khakhau claimed that the panel, which the minister described as independent, was allegedly stacked with African National Congress (ANC) affiliates, including former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu’s associates, ANC provincial leaders, and even an adviser to ANC National Chairperson Gwede Mantashe.
