FARM ATTACK-JANUARY 6TH

On the 6th January, around 20:00, there was a farm attack at Rocklands on the Elandsriver rd. An eighty-five year old man and his wife were alone at the time when an apparently single person entered the house and demanded money. The couple were beaten with a knobkierie, and nothing was taken. The intruder fled on foot, and no vehicle was involved. The couple needed medical attention, but both are in a stable condition. Unfortunately, there were no arrests made,the SAPS dog unit did arrive without a dog, and the area is of very dense vegetation.
