Police in Sekgosese, operating under the Mopani District, have opened a case of business robbery following an incident in the early hours of Tuesday morning where electronic goods worth approximately R163,000 were stolen.
According to the police report, the incident occurred at approximately 00:40 on 24 February 2026 at a local primary school in Lemondokop Village.
It is alleged that a male security guard was performing his routine duties when he was confronted and overpowered by four unknown male suspects. The assailants were reportedly in possession of firearms and wearing balaclavas to conceal their identities.
The suspects proceeded to steal valuables from the premises, making off with sixty tablets and a laptop computer. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at R163,000.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter. No arrests have been reported at this stage.
