Police have arrested four suspects following the murder of a 36-year-old man in the Bluegums administrative area outside Sterkspruit in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to a statement from the South African Police Service (SAPS), the incident occurred on 15 February 2026 at approximately 01:00. It is reported that prior to succumbing to his injuries, the victim was able to provide police with the names of his attackers and details of where the stabbing took place.
Acting on the information provided by the deceased, authorities launched a swift investigation. The rapid response led to the apprehension of four suspects, aged between 24 and 35 years old.
The arrested individuals are currently in police custody. They are expected to appear in the Sterkspruit Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of murder, police confirmed.
