Members of Operation Lockdown III, working in conjunction with Crime Intelligence, conducted an intelligence-driven operation in Elsies River on Sunday, 15 January 2026, resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of more than 100 sachets of cocaine.
At approximately 23:30, the team searched a 21-year-old male suspect in front of a yard on Eleventh Avenue. During the search, ten sachets of cocaine were found in his possession. He was immediately arrested on a charge of possession of drugs.
Continuing their patrols in the same avenue, the members then encountered a 39-year-old male suspect. He was found in possession of 102 sachets of cocaine and was arrested at the scene for dealing in drugs.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court once they have been formally charged.
