Police have arrested a female suspect in connection with the murder of an e-hailing driver whose body was discovered in his hijacked vehicle in Atteridgeville.
According to police statements released on Thursday, the incident occurred on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, in Pretoria West. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was allegedly killed by a man and a woman who had hired his services in the Pretoria West area.
Following the incident, both the driver’s hijacked vehicle and his body were recovered in Atteridgeville on the same day.
Authorities have confirmed that the female suspect is in custody. She is scheduled to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 February 2026. She faces charges of car hijacking and murder.
Police have stated that investigations are ongoing.
