Three male suspects, all aged 29, are scheduled to appear at the Nkowankowa Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Wednesday, 04 February 2026. They face charges of armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Their arrests are connected to a robbery in October 2025 near Hlovani River Lodge in the Ritavi policing area, Mopani District. A male driver was robbed of a firearm, cellphones, and cash after leaving the lodge.
On Monday, 02 February 2026, the Mopani Tracking Team and Ritavi Detectives arrested the three suspects in Matiko-Xikaya Village, Namakgale policing area.
Police recovered two firearms: one loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition and a 9mm replica. The recovered Glock pistol is linked to the lodge robbery. A white Suzuki Ertiga, believed used in the crime, was also seized.
The investigation continues to determine if the suspects are linked to other crimes in the area.
