A 31-year-old man will appear in the Cacadu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 04 February 2026, charged with attempted murder in a domestic violence case.
The suspect was arrested by Cacadu SAPS on Monday, 02 February 2026.
The incident occurred on Monday, 26 January 2026, at approximately 21:00 at a residence in Zakhele Locality, Cacadu. The 28-year-old victim was asleep with her two-year-old child when her boyfriend arrived and allegedly kicked the door open to gain entry.
Once inside, the suspect reportedly shouted accusations of infidelity at the victim. He then allegedly stabbed her with a knife and a fork.
The victim sustained stab wounds to her left thigh and left arm. She was rescued by the suspect’s friends and neighbours, who transported her to Glen Grey Hospital for treatment.
A case of attempted murder was opened at Cacadu Police Station.
