Dennilton SAPS, through the Sekhukhune District Tracking and Investigation Team, arrested a 49-year-old security company owner on Tuesday, 03 February 2026.
Acting on a tip-off, the team searched a residence in Slovo Section, Dennilton. They found nine unlicensed firearms—including three rifles—in a safe. No ammunition was recovered.
Preliminary investigation shows the firearms belonged to a liquidated Sandton, Gauteng, security company and were previously leased to the suspect.
The suspect is charged with contravening Section 3, read with Section 120(1)(a), of the Firearms Control Act. He will appear in the Moutse Magistrate’s Court soon.
