Woman in Court for R3 Million

A 36-year-old suspect will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court today, 30 January 2026, on fraud charges.

She is accused of transferring funds from FAW Trucks’ bank account to her personal account while employed there as a financial assistant accountant. The alleged crimes occurred between October 2015 and January 2025, causing a company loss exceeding R3 million.

The case was investigated by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in the West Rand. The suspect was arrested in Roodepoort on 29 January 2026.
