Four suspects wanted for serious crimes were fatally wounded in a shootout with police at Adam’s Mission in the KwaMakhutha precinct on Thursday afternoon.
Police on an intelligence-driven operation spotted a vehicle matching the description of one used by a group committing armed robberies, house robberies, carjackings, and kidnappings in Umbumbulu and other areas.
Officers confronted the suspects on Sheleni Road, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Four suspects sustained fatal gunshot wounds. One suspect escaped, and a manhunt is underway. No police officers were injured.
