Police Arrest Two for Drug Dealing

On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at approximately 04:35, members of the Piketberg SAPS arrested two males, aged 39 and 47, for dealing in drugs.

During a visible policing patrol, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle. The driver threw a black bag from the window while being pursued. He was apprehended, and the bag was found to contain 5,990 mandrax tablets.

Following the arrest of the 47-year-old suspect, police proceeded to an address in Piketberg. A search uncovered 741 mandrax tablets and 820 sachets of tik. The 39-year-old male suspect was arrested.

Both suspects will appear in the Piketberg Magistrate’s Court today, 28 January 2026.
