A coordinated, intelligence-driven operation in the Jeff’sville Informal Settlement, Atteridgeville, this morning resulted in the successful recovery of an arsenal of illegal firearms and ammunition.
The operation was conducted by a multidisciplinary team from the South African Police Service (SAPS). Units involved included the Pretoria Public Order Policing (POP) unit, Crime Intelligence, and the Atteridgeville Visible Policing (Vispol) division.
Acting on specific intelligence, the team executed a search and seizure operation. The search yielded a significant cache of weapons, including:
-

All recovered items were seized on site and have been taken in for further processing and investigation. The seizure forms a critical part of ongoing efforts to combat the proliferation of illegal firearms and enhance community safety.
