Mitchell’s Plain police seized an illegal firearm and made one arrest during a search on Monday.
Members of the Mitchell’s Plain SAPS conducted an operation at a premises in Lincoln Street, Beacon Valley. They confiscated a 9mm pistol with ammunition found inside the house.
A 20-year-old male was arrested for the illegal possession of the firearm and ammunition. He is due to appear in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court once he has been formally charged.
