A 38-year-old man was arrested at his home in Sydenham, Gqeberha, on Saturday, 10 January 2026.
Police acted on information alleging the suspect possessed and distributed child pornography online. After the suspect refused to open his door, police gained entry and seized exhibits for investigation.

The accused appeared at the New Law Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 12 January 2026. He was remanded in custody and will reappear on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, for a bail application.
