A 43-year-old man will appear in the Nkowankowa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 12 January 2026, charged with the attempted rape of his 14-year-old niece.
The incident allegedly occurred on 08 January 2026 at a home in Sedan village, Letsitele. The suspect entered a room where the victim was and attempted to rape her. The girl fought back, escaped, and reported the incident to her father.
A rape case was opened at Letsitele Police Station and transferred to the Tzaneen Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit. The suspect was arrested and will appear in court
