A 14-year-old male suspect appeared in the Namakgale Magistrate’s special court on Thursday, 08 January 2026, charged with two counts of rape.
The crimes occurred in the Gravelotte policing area on Saturday, 03 January 2026.
According to the preliminary police report, the suspect lured the two victims, aged 8 and 9, into nearby bushes. He then raped one of the victims. He subsequently compelled the other victim to rape the first.
Both victims were taken to a hospital for medical examination.
The case has been postponed for further investigation.
