Bultfontein police have arrested a 37-year-old man for the alleged murder of his 22-year-old girlfriend.
On Sunday, 4 January 2026, police responded to a report of a stabbing at a farm in the Bultfontein precinct. At the scene, the alleged suspect directed officers to a bedroom.
There, they found the deceased victim lying motionless on a bed, covered with a blanket. She had sustained stab wounds to her chest and face.
Emergency medical personnel declared the victim dead at the scene. The suspect was apprehended and is in police custody.
An investigation is underway. The identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released.
