The Makhado Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit has arrested two male suspects, aged 17 and 21, for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.
The offence is reported to have occurred in Pfananani village on Monday, 29 December 2025.
Following the incident, police activated a widespread manhunt for the suspects. This operation led to their successful apprehension in the Pfananani village, within the Tshitale policing area, on Saturday, 03 January 2026.
The two accused are scheduled to appear before the Tshitale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 05 January 2026, where they will face a formal charge of rape.
