Two Appear in Court on Stock Theft Charges After Sheep Found in Bedroom

Two men, aged 23 and 29, are set to appear before the EZibeleni Magistrate’s Court following their arrest on charges of possession of suspected stolen livestock.

The arrest was effected by members of the EZibeleni South African Police Service (SAPS) on Monday, 15 December 2025. Police acted on intelligence received regarding a residence in Zone 1, EZibeleni, where stolen livestock was allegedly being kept.

Upon searching the identified house, police discovered eight suspected stolen sheep concealed inside a bedroom.

The suspects were subsequently taken into custody and now face formal charges related to the possession of suspected stolen stock. Their court appearance will proceed as per legal protocol.
