On Friday, 12 December 2025, Crime Intelligence and Attaqua K9 members arrested two suspects and confiscated 100 mandrax tablets in Oudtshoorn.
Acting on intelligence, officers identified a targeted Hyundai on Voortrekker Road. After a brief vehicle chase, police stopped the car, seized the drugs, and took the two occupants into custody. The vehicle was also seized.
The suspects, aged 54 and 57, remain in custody. They are scheduled to appear in the Oudtshoorn Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 15 December 2025, charged with dealing in drugs.
The operation is part of ongoing #SaferFestiveSeason efforts to combat drug-related crime.
